It's through our science department that we are able to professionalize the entire sector through:
- Applied science: Our participation in scientific research projects with renowned universities and research institutes alongside our own innovative research hones in on pedagogical quality, child development, and staff professionalization.
- Our unique and objective department: Our independent scientific department, in addition to our quality department, is embedded within an independent structure, allowing us to objectively monitor and ensure (pedagogical) quality.
- Sharing knowledge with the sector: All the knowledge we acquire, is made available to the entire sector. Through publication in scientific and professional journals, presentations, and by sharing our experience, methods, and expertise, we ensure that we all benefit and progress together.
Partou’s two main focus areas are
- Measuring & monitoring: We assess pedagogical quality using widely recognized scientific instruments to identify the strengths and weaknesses across several important quality indicators. Regular assessments or audits provide critical insights that help us to adjust our policies and methods.
- Applied research projects: In contrast to theoretical research, as seen in most universities, our research projects are applicable to actively delivering quality childcare.
Partou assess the validity of a research project in the field of pedagogical quality based on the following crieteria:
- Applicability of research to childcare practice.
- Workload and implementation ability of the staff and groups.
- Professionalization of the sector
- Specific research questions from our organization.
- An innovative and relevant topic.
